Susan Smyth Kung

Susan Smythe Kung, Ph.D., is the Manager of the Archive of the Indigenous Languages of Latin America at the University of Texas at Austin. She is a documentary field linguist who has extensively researched and documented Huehuetla Tepehua, an endangered, indigenous language spoken in Mexico. All of the oral histories and language data that she collected during her fieldwork can be found on the AILLA website ( under the language name Tepehua de Hueheutla.
