Diego Catalán
Diego Catalán is director of the Seminario Menéndez Pidal, an institute of the Universidad Complutense of Madrid dedicated to romancero studies. In addition he is Professor at both the Universidad Autónoma in Madrid and the University of California, San Diego. His long and distinguished list of publications includes studies of the Spanish epic and ballad together with the chronicles and other medieval texts, as well as studies in linguistics and textual analysis.
